The Itchen Valley Flying Group was founded around about 1987 by a group of enthusiastic Radio Control Flyers

Originally the group was started by modellers who were at the forefront of radio control technology when the hobby was extremely expensive and somewhat unreliable. Fortunately the hobby now has access to inexpensive and very reliable equipment.

We have two venues for flying. Our outdoor site is a lovely sports field and facing in a southerly direction so on sunny days we get the benefit of the sun all day long.
Our indoor venue is a large sports hall which makes for interesting flying while carefully minding the walls.
